At Grande Montagne, we took the winding road down to Port Sud-Est. The iridescent clouds blew gradually to let the sky meet the ocean. Along the sinuous road, cows and sheep graze among lemon and vacoas (Pandanus Utilis) trees. As you reach Port Sud-Est, the sky is spotted with colourful kites, from June to September. The International Kite Festival is held around June in Mourouk. Kitesurfing schools lie along the beach and the wide lagoon can cater for everyone.
