An Annual Open Day at Cavalia Horse Riding School attracted some hundred young children along with their parents, from all the neighbourhoods in the west of the island on Sunday 29th. A small but colourful craft market gathered potted-plants sellers, local bags’ weavers and handicraft passionates. Visitors and horse-lovers benefitted from free bus rides from pick-up and to drop-off points.
Several shows from baby-vaulting, horseball to jumping entertained the seated spectators. Food and refreshments were at reasonable cost at the club house. Kids could ride ponies and bigger kids could enjoy horse rides for only 50p. Local music added to the family-friendly atmosphere.
The club horse riders and pony riders volunteered to make this day a memorable one for many.
