At the foot of the mountain on the beach side, there is a commemoration area with sculptures which is open to the public from Monday to Sunday mid-day. Le Morne beach remains a must-see.

Remember to register online for the 7th edition around March next year. The new organisers ROAG were as good as the former. Sponsors and volunteers assisted to make that event an amazing one!

Le Morne Brabant in Mauritius had long been the hiding place for the slaves during colonisation. It is believed that when officials went up Le Morne Brabant to announce the abolition of slavery, the slaves thought that they were being hunted and jumped in the sea to put an end to their life.
