Mauritius Island offers more than beaches and scenic views. It is a golfing holiday destination as well, with resorts combined with sun-drenched golf courses having amazing fairways winding through luxuriant tropical flora or set between mountains and the sea.
17 youngsters from public schools have been chosen to join golf schools through a sponsorship programme entitled Golf for All, developed by passionate Francis and Vincent. A time where they should be sipping whiskey and reading papers, they are driving around the island to sponsor young people willing to join the Mauritius Golf Federation Junior.
Avalon is a lush green 18-hole golf-course in the centre (south) of the island. The stunning view and the splendid facilities make this place a nice one to spend the day for a golfing experience or to have lunch after sightseeing on the scenic Grand Bassin road through the forests, crossing Mare aux Vacoas and Grand Bassin sacred lake.

The four Mauritian Junior Players (14-19 yrs) flew to Rabat, Morocco last Saturday to attend the All Africa Junior Golf Challenge 2018 held from March 5th to 9th at the Royal Golf Dar es Salaam.
Mauritius is famous for its golf courses, that host competitions for the members of the MGF and for the junior members as well. A monthly competition is held gathering some thirty young players, both boys and girls.
